Justyn Howard: Co-Founder and Former CEO of Sprout Social
Justyn Howard, born in 1983, is the co-founder and former CEO of Sprout Social, a leading social media management platform he helped establish in 2010. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Under Justyn’s leadership, Sprout Social rapidly grew in the competitive social media market, earning numerous accolades. He was named one of Glassdoor’s “Highest Rated CEOs” for three consecutive years (2017–2019), received the Moxie Awards CEO of the Year in 2017, and was featured in Crain’s Chicago 40 Under 40 list in 2014.
From its inception until December 2020, Justyn also served as President of Sprout Social, playing a pivotal role in its expansion and success. Prior to founding Sprout Social, he gained valuable experience in enterprise sales at a software provider, which helped him steer his company to prominence.
In 2023, after over a decade leading the company, Justyn transitioned to the role of Executive Chairman, passing the CEO responsibilities to Ryan Barretto. This move marked a strategic leadership change as Sprout Social continues to evolve and grow. Currently, Justyn focuses on guiding the company’s long-term vision and supporting its ongoing success from his position as Executive Chairman.
