Jasleen Singh is an energetic Digital Marketing and Public Relations student at York University.

He is embarking on an exciting journey in the PR world, eager to absorb all it has to offer. Armed with a solid foundation in social media and a keen interest in sports, music, and gaming, Jasleen is all set to explore and expand his horizons.

There’s also a fun side to him – he’s a two-time National Hockey Champion. Jasleen is enthusiastic about the adventures and learning experiences that await him in the PR sphere.

Volunteers are the backbone of PRofessionals and Coffee and we value the contribution of each and every volunteer who are the reason behind our success. Having said that, here we are with another volunteer story. The story of Jasleen, a former international student, a PR professional and a volunteer at PRofessionals and Coffee. 

From being an athlete with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and minor in political science Jasleen’s journey to the PR field has been quite interesting. Perseverance, dedication and a desire to learn; these qualities are often dismissed considering them elementary and given. However, they are just what you need to succeed and triumph in life and these very qualities are what sets our volunteer of the week apart!  Jasleen made it a point to leave no stone unturned to realize his goals. From being overwhelmed on the first day of class at York University; feeling anxious and nervous to being an expert at the nitty gritties of PR; he is the living example of the fact that if you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything. 

To expand the working knowledge of his field Jasleen started writing various kinds of write ups, networking, and volunteering to understand the industry comprehensively. When asked about any lessons/takeaways from his journey Jasleen emphasized the importance of networking, making connections and building relations. 

His two cents for newcomers out there? : Opportunities won’t come to you, you need to create them for yourself. 

And that’s Jasleen for you! A determined, young PR professional, setting goals for himself, achieving them and aiming for the sky!
