Josie Haynes – Managing Director, Citizen Relations
Josie Haynes is the Managing Director of Citizen Relations in Toronto, a role she earned after 17 years with the agency. Josie began her career as an intern at Citizen and steadily advanced through various leadership positions, most recently serving as Senior Vice President.
In her current role, she oversees the Toronto office’s operations, leads key client work, and fosters collaboration with regional offices to drive the agency’s success. Josie has managed major client accounts, including Emirates, Indeed, Intuit TurboTax, Kijiji, and SickKids Foundation. She is also focused on growing the agency by securing new business and enhancing integration.
Josie’s leadership has earned industry recognition, including awards for campaigns like “Asshole Activists” for TUSHY and “Addy’s Crystal Ball” for SickKids Foundation. These campaigns brought home prestigious accolades such as a Clio Gold, a PRovoke Media SABRE Best-in-Show Award, and recognition at Cannes Lions. Josie has also served as a judge for the Effie Awards in Canada for the past two years.
